Search of your car by cops

Police officer pulls you over,"Do you mind if I search your car?". "No officer I do not want you to search my car!". Then the officer replies"Just wait here until the k-9 unit arrives."

 O.k., if we have the right to refuse the search why do we have to wait for the k-9 unit if there is no probable cause. Doesn't our constitution protect us from unreasonable searches? If there is no probable cause; then the k-9 search has to be illegal. Our constitution says: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

With that being said, if you are ever stopped by the police and they make you wait for a k-9 unit, sue the officer, police department, and whatever district they work for. !!!!STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!!!
